I am just finishing up my first week after surgery and here are 3 things I couldn’t have lived without this week:
1. An Aluminum Reaching Stick
So, the occupational therapist at the hospital came in pedaling goods and I just had to have this – and I’m glad I went for it! For those of you who may be home recovering alone this is essential. I have my family but they are gone during the day and when I dropped the remote I was certainly glad I had this baby! Seriously though, I used it a million times from picking up my pants to reaching up on a shelf to get something down – I think it’s great anytime!
2. A Body Pillow
It is hard to get comfortable at night, especially if you are a stomach sleeper, after surgery. I found myself propping pillows all around me when I realize a good body pillow or two would have done the trick. They keep you in place and you always roll over on softness 🙂
3. Campbells Soup on the Go
At my darkest hour, ready to drive to Burger King and say screw the pain, I came on to the web and found others raving about this soup. I had my mom take me to the store, bought one of each flavor, came home, heated it up and thought I had died and went to heaven. YOU MUST HAVE THESE – there will be time for protein later, now you need fuel.
